About Park Football
Park Football is a free, top-down arcade football game that runs directly in a modern web browser. It is designed for quick local matches with sensible team play and an approachable feel for children and adults.
How To Play
Choose zero, one, or two human players and play with teams of two to five players per side. Zero-player matches let both computer teams play. One-player matches put the home side against the computer. Two-player matches use one keyboard for local head-to-head play.
Players can move, pass, tackle, shoot, sprint, change the selected footballer, and apply aftertouch. Goalkeepers position and dive automatically until a human-controlled keeper gains possession. Gamepads and landscape touch controls are also supported.
Pitches
- Wimbledon Park: a grass pitch beside hard courts, a path, hedge, and park bench.
- Canoe Lake: lakeside grass with a waterside path and wooden fence.
- Southsea Beach: football on sand and pebbles between the sea wall and the water.
- Albert Road: a grey tarmac street pitch between shops and pavements.
- School Playground: a playground pitch marked by red mini cones over existing court markings.
Optional location-specific distractions include a dog, swan, seagull, cyclist, and wandering teacher. Water recoveries return the ball to play without requiring the player to retrieve it.
Technology And Availability
The game is built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and an HTML5 canvas. There is no download or account requirement for local play. Keyboard play works on desktop and laptop computers; gamepad and touch support depend on the browser and device.
